Canoe
This is my first trip to the state of Georgia and first ever visit to Atlanta. I’ve heard so many good things about the city and most importantly the food scene here.
So excited to finally be taking the trip on an early Monday morning via JFK airport. Flight was scheduled to depart at 7 am and was surprisingly on time and we even arrived a bit early. The ATL airport was clean and organized and claiming your luggage was a breeze. Getting an uber from the airport arrival was super quick as well. Two things already that NYC can learn from ATL. Weather was so nice as well as it’s all sunny here with a nice breeze.
It’s time for our 1st food scene visit here and we are off to Canoe located at 4199 Paces Ferry Road SE by the Chattahoochee river. The restaurant has been part of the neighborhood for over 25 years now and was actually destroyed in 2009 due to the flood. The local community came together and helped rebuild the whole restaurant together symbolizing the role cuisine plays in the community here in Atlanta.
#KULINARYATRAVELS is off to Mission + Market next…
